Lee Kong Chien Natural History Museum (LKCNHM) Public Workshops 2026

 


LKCNHM will be organising their upcoming public workshops featuring two hands-on learning experiences that invite participants to explore biodiversity, species discovery, and nature-inspired innovations.

Specimens to Species Workshop @ LKCNHM
Ever wondered how scientists identify and name new species? In this workshop, participants will explore how museum specimens are used to study biodiversity, learn the basics of taxonomy and scientific naming, and take part in activities that offer a closer look at the process behind species discovery.

Date: 25 July 2026, Saturday
Time: 10 AM–12 PM
Meeting Point: Lee Kong Chian Natural History Museum
Suitable for participants aged 16 and above.

Adaptation & Biomimicry Workshop @ Sentosa
How does nature inspire innovation? Through a guided nature walk and hands-on activities, participants will discover how plants and animals adapt to their environments, and how these natural strategies have inspired human technologies.

Time: 10 AM–12:30 PM
Meeting Point: Sentosa Nature Discovery Gallery
Suitable for participants aged 10 and above. Participants aged 10 to 12 must be accompanied by a paying adult.
