Provision of hot water for students after Canteen operating hours (after 3pm)

  • Students can draw hot water to prepare snacks like instant oats/milo (not instant noodles).

  • Students should not be using this to draw non-hot water from the GO or for other purposes.

Call for entries for The 20th Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition 2025 (NAPE)

Dear SST Students,

Ngee Ann Cultural Centre (NACC), a subsidiary of the philanthropic organisation The

Ngee Ann Kongsi, will be organising the 20th Ngee Ann Photographic Exhibition

2025 (NAPE) at the galleries of LASALLE College of the Arts, from 14 June to 21

June.

NAPE, held annually by the NACC, commenced in 2005 to showcase the works and

talents of our local photographers, as well as to promote photographic arts in

Singapore. It provides an open platform for all shutterbugs to share their best works,

regardless of age, race, and religion. The Ngee Ann Kongsi has been acquiring

artworks from the exhibition each year to expand its Permanent Arts Collection,

aiming to support local photographers.

 If you are passionate about photography, do register to take part in this event under

the student category (10 – 20 years old) and showcase your photography skills to

fellow Singaporeans.

Service-Learning opportunities - National Day Parade Hospitality Management Programme by Heartware Network

Dear Sec 3 and 4 student,  

Since 2000, Heartware Network has been supporting the National Day Parade Executive Committee (NDP EXCO) by training and managing a group of youth volunteers as part of the hospitality management team at the annual National Day Parade (NDP). 

In the 26th year of collaboration with the NDP EXCO, Heartware Network will be recruiting, training and developing youths into leaders of tomorrow through the exciting experience of serving the community at a national event.

Details:

During sign-up you will be asked on your choice of Padang Support OR Bay Celebration Support and please note the dates which you will have to commit to. We will all be EVENT VOLUNTEERS as the Volunteer Leader role is only for 17 years and above.

Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) [Talent Development Unit]

Dear Sec 1 & 2 students,

Overview:
Welcome to the world of problem-solving with Data Structures and Algorithms! You will discover how computers organise, store, and retrieve information efficiently. You will learn how data structures, like lists, dictionaries, stacks, and queues, work to manage data and how algorithms help solve problems step by step.
  •  Understand the basics of arrays, linked lists, stacks, and queues.
  •  Learn how to search through data and sort lists in fun ways.
  •  Develop critical thinking skills to solve everyday problems using algorithms.
  •  Use your new knowledge to create your mini-projects and challenges.
By the end of this course, you will have a basic foundation in understanding how data and algorithms are at the heart of technology, helping you build your cool projects and prepare for more advanced studies in computer science!

Ideal for: Students who are curious about how technology works and want to explore the exciting world of coding and problem-solving. Students should have a Python IDE installed on their LDs. Common Python IDEs:

2025 SASMO Registration

Dear Students

1. You are invited to take part in the Singapore and Asian Schools Math Olympiad (SASMO) 2025.

2. It will be held on 7 April 2025 (Monday) from 3.10 pm to 4.40 pm in school.

3. All S1-S4 students are eligible to sign up.

4. There will be a compulsory online training module consisting of 30 questions, to be completed at your own convenience, before participating in the competition.

5. The competition fee is $28 and will be collected through Edusave.
6. If you do not have sufficient Edusave funds, the fee will be collected through GIRO.

7. If you are keen to sign up, kindly sign up here.
8.The deadline for signing up will be 21 March 2025 (Friday) 7.00 p.m.
