[Upper Sec] ACE Leadership Board Service-learning opportunity - Singapore Association of the Visually Handicapped (SAVH) Flag Day 2026

[Only applicable for Sec 3 and 4] 

Dear Students, 

SAVH X Flag Day is an annual fundraising and awareness event where volunteers help to collect donations from the public.

The funds raised go towards supporting programmes and services that empower persons with visual impairment to live independently and confidently, including mobility training, assistive technology support, employment programmes, and community engagement activities.

Key details: 

1.⁠ ⁠Student volunteers will have to be aged 15 and above as of 25 April 2026.
2.⁠ ⁠Commitment itself will be on 25 April, 2026, 9a.m. to 1.30p.m. (Report at 8.30am)
3.⁠ ⁠Please be prepared to be stationed at any of the 4 locations: Toa Payoh, Bishan, Ang Mo Kio, and Serangoon MRT stations.
4.⁠ ⁠Indicate your interest here by 28 March, 2026, 2359 hours
5.⁠ ⁠Please note that students will be reporting direct to the organizer. There will be no teacher chaperone for the event. 
6.⁠ ⁠A separate consent form will be sent to parents via Parents Gateway once the number of volunteers has been confirmed.

[Upper Sec] Volunteering Opportunity: Heartware Network National Day Parade Event volunteer

Dear Sec 3 and 4 student,  

Since 2000, Heartware Network (HWN) has been supporting the National Day Parade Executive Committee (NDP EXCO) by training and managing a group of youth volunteers as part of the hospitality management team at the annual National Day Parade (NDP). 

In the 27th year of collaboration with the NDP EXCO, Heartware Network will be recruiting, training and developing youths into leaders of tomorrow through the exciting experience of serving the community at a national event.

Details:

  • Engagement period: May 2026 - August 2026
  • Note: You are only required to attend 1 training session from the 4 available below. 
  • Closing date for registration: 31 March 2026

Hari Raya Puasa – School Holiday (Off-in-Lieu)

Dear students,

Please be reminded that Monday 23 Mar 2026 will be a school holiday in observance of Hari Raya Puasa. Classes will resume as usual on Tuesday for Term 2.

Hari Raya Puasa marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan and is a meaningful occasion for reflection, gratitude, and celebration with family and community.

To all our Muslim students, staff, and members of the SST community, we wish you and your loved ones a joyful celebration.

Invitation to Participate: The International Applied Mathematics Olympiad (IAMO) [Now open to all!]

You are invited to participate in the International Applied Mathematics Olympiad (IAMO).


The objectives of the IAMO are:

  1. to foster critical thinking and scientific inquiry through the challenges of solving Mathematics problems

  2. to identify the top students in the field of Mathematics who are ready to compete at an international level


It is a series of 90-minute online Mathematics quizzes for students.

  • The 1st round is a 25-MCQ quiz, and finalists would be shortlisted to attempt a 2nd round of 30 MCQs.
  • The 1st round will be held online on 11 April from 0730 PM to 0930 PM, and the 2nd round will be held online on 12 April from 0730 PM to 0930 PM. (Do note that the two dates fall on a weekend)

The competition fee is paid in SGD, equivalent to $20 USD, and will be collected through Edusave. The fee will be collected through GIRO if you do not have sufficient Edusave funds.


Slots are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. If you wish to participate in this challenge, kindly sign up here.


The deadline for signing up will be 3 April 2026 (Friday). Once you have signed up, you will receive additional updates via your school email.
