1st SST History War & Diplomacy Card Game Challenge

Dear SST Students,

Sharpen your wits and dive into history with our very first individual strategy showdown! Draw “action” cards to plan offensives, negotiate alliances and react to surprise “scenario” cards—every choice racks up points toward your personal leaderboard.

How it works

Lower Secondary: 15 May 2025 (Thu), 3:00 – 4:00 pm @ Perspectives Cove (L5, beside MTL Room)
Upper Secondary: 16 May 2025 (Fri), 2:00 – 3:00 pm @ Perspectives Cove (L5, beside MTL Room)

Competition Rounds

Preliminary & Semi-Finals: 22 May 2025 (Thu), 4:00 – 5:30 pm @ Learning Oasis 1
Finals: 27 May 2025 (Tue), 1:00 – 2:00 pm @ Perspectives Cove

Note: Attendance at your assigned workshop and all competition rounds is mandatory—non-attendance will result in disqualification. Successful registrants will receive a confirmation email.

HBL - in Timetable

Blended Learning in MOE’s context refers to a seamless blending of different modes of learning to enhance students’ educational experience. One aspect of Blended Learning is the integration of home-based learning (HBL) as a regular feature of the schooling experience.

HBL takes place once a fortnight when students do not report to school for lessons, but carry out self-directed learning or activities assigned to be completed remotely.

Instructions and tasks will be assigned by the subject teacher in the Google Classroom (though the tasks may not be confined to the Google Classroom).

HBL - not in Timetable

In the event that HBL is declared for a school day (i.e. not in timetable or pre-planned):
1. Subject lessons will follow current timetable.
2. Lessons will take place via the existing GMeet/ Online platforms set up in the subject Google Classrooms.
3. Login and report to the Form Teacher at the usual morning assembly time for attendance taking and morning briefing. REMEMBER:
Check the Students Blog and your official email regularly (8 am and 5pm) for any updates communicated to you in the day.
