Fire Safety Talk by SCDF

Dear Secondary 1 & 2 students,

There will be a Fire Safety Talk conducted by the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) at the Multi-Purpose Hall (MPH) on the following dates:

Secondary 1

• 1 July 2014, Tuesday
• 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.

Secondary 2

• 3 July 2014, Thursday
• 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.

The talk will cover fire related topics such as:

• Triangle of combustion
• Methods of extinguishing fires
• Classification of fires
• Types of fire extinguishers
• Procedure of operating an extinguisher
• Causes of fire
• How to handle a fire situation

Attendance is compulsory.
