[S1, S2, S3] 2025 S4 Preliminary Science Practical Exam

 Dear S1, S2 and S3 students,

  • Please be informed that the Secondary 4 students will be taking their Preliminary Science Practical Examination this week on 18 Aug (Mon), 20 Aug (Wed) and 21 Aug (Thu).
  • The exam venues are Biology Labs and Chemistry Labs in Block C, Level 1. As such, the area outside these labs are Out of Bounds to ALL students. Do not walk into this area.
  • Other Out of Bounds areas in Block C are Level 2 (outside Phy Labs) and Level 3 (outside Lecture Theatre and Seminar Room).
  • In addition, 2 sets of staircase are also Out of Bounds. Please use the staircase next to the walkway to MPH or the staircase next to the canteen. See the layout of Block C Level 1 below.

If you come across areas OR staircases that are cordoned off, please take an alternative route.

2025 MOE Edusave & SST Character Award Nomination

 Dear students,

 

The nominations are now open for the MOE Edusave Character Award (ECHA) and the SST Character Award (SSTCHA). These awards aim to recognise students who have demonstrated exemplary character and outstanding personal qualities through their behaviour and actions.

[S4] 2025 GCE O-Level MTL/MTLB Examination

 Dear S4 students,

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS

1. REPORTING TIME

- Candidates are to report to the ISH at least 30 min BEFORE the start of the exam paper. 

2. VENUES, SEAT NUMBER AND SEATING PLAN

- Refer to the SUMMARY for your exam venue, CANDIDATE LIST for your seat number and SEATING PLAN in the spreadsheet BEFORE the exam day.

- Assemble at ISH (Sit according to the row number card placed on the floor). For exam in the MPH, bags to be placed INSIDE, AT THE FRONT OR BACK of the MPH. For exam in Our Space and ACE Leaders Room, bags should be placed AT THE BACK of the room.

3. THINGS TO BRING

- ENTRY PROOF and NRIC.

- All required exam stationery, approved dictionaries or e-dictionaries.

- E-dictionaries model MUST be visible on your dictionaries. Bring extra batteries/ e-dictionaries. NO EXTRA BATTERIES will be provided.

- OPTIONAL ITEMS: Water bottles, SST Jackets (ONLY).

4. ATTIRE AND PERSONAL GROOMING

- Check your grooming (attire, hair, nails, etc).

- ONLY SST Uniform and S&W attire are allowed.

- ONLY SST Jacket are allowed (Optional).

5. TO ENSURE EXAM RULES AND REGULATIONS ARE NOT COMPROMISED

- SWITCH OFF all electronic devices, e.g. handphones, and put them in your bag before reporting at the ISH. 

- Check that there are no slips of papers or notes in your pockets or jacket's pockets. EMPTY your pockets before reporting to the ISH.

- Jackets will be subjected to random checks. Ensure that all pockets are empty before entering exam venues.

6. SELF-CARE:

- Visit the toilet BEFORE reporting to the ISH.

- Fill up your water bottles, if needed, BEFORE reporting to the ISH.

7. OTHER IMPORTANT THINGS TO NOTE:

- Write your FULL name, O-Level Index Number (Not your class register number) on EVERY piece of writing paper you use during exam.

- Write your FULL name, O-Level Index Number (Not your class register number) DURING the given exam duration, NOT after the end of the paper. Please do not test the system.

- Use a black or dark blue ball-point pen for all your examination.

- FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS FROM THE CPE/ PE/ INVIGILATORS STRICTLY.

[S1, S2, S3, S4] (T2W9) THU 22 May - Lesson Arrangements (no HBL)

Dear Sec 1s to Sec 4s,

Please be informed that there will be LESSONS AS USUAL in school on ODD Thursday, 22 May 2025 in Week 9.
  • In view of the shortened school day on 2 May 2025 (Friday) and school holiday on 5 May 2025 (Monday), HBL for Sec 1s to Sec 3s on 22 May 2025 (Thursday) will be cancelled.
  • All levels will follow the EVEN Monday timetable for the lessons till 1400. 
  • There will be a SUTD Basic Ethics Programme for Sec 3 students from 1400 to 1600.
  • There will be MTL/ HMTL lessons for Sec 4 from 1400 to 1500.

[S1, S2, S3, S4] - Updates to School Schedule in view of Polling Day

Dear Sec 1s - Sec 4s,

With the announcement of the upcoming General Election where Polling Day will be held on Saturday, 3 May 2025, we will be adjusting the school schedule to facilitate the use of the school compounds on the eve of Polling Day.

School Hours on Friday, 2 May 2025

You will report to school in the morning by 0740 and take your Class Test according to the schedule below. You will be dismissed at the end of the Class Test. There will not be afternoon activities including CCAs. 

As the stalls in the canteen will not be in operation, you are encouraged to take a heavier breakfast before coming to school in the morning.

School Holiday on Monday, 5 May 2025

As Polling Day is a public holiday and falls on a Saturday, the following Monday, 5 May 2025, will be a school holiday. You will return to school for lessons on 6 May 2025, Tuesday.

[S1, S2, S3, S4] T2W3 HBL Information

Dear Sec 1s - Sec 4s,

Please be informed that there will be lessons as per usual on 10 April 2025, Thursday (Week 3), following the timetable for ODD Friday. 

HBL for Week 3 will take place on 11 April 2025, Friday. You do not need to report to school on 11 April 2025, Friday, unless you are a prize recipient or have specific roles in our 15th Anniversary Celebrations@SST.

Do check with your form/ subject teachers if you have any questions for this.

2025 Blended Learning: Home-Based Learning (HBL)

Dear students,

Blended Learning: Home-Based Learning (HBL) is designed to equip students with the skills, attitudes, and habits needed for lifelong learning. Please prioritise your responsibilities before engaging in leisure activities.

 

During Home-Based Learning, it is essential to observe cyber wellness, practice the 4Rs, and always follow the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)Recording the Google Meet or Microsoft Teams sessions is not allowed.

General Office (GO) Operating Hours During School Holidays

Dear Students

Please be informed that the GO operating hours from 19 November to 23 December 2024 will be as follows:
Monday to Thursday: 8.00am – 3.30pm
Friday: 8.00am – 3.00pm

Please note that students are required to scan the QR code for attendance at the security posts at Gate A/B when returning to school during school holidays.

Additionally, the GO will be closed on the following dates:
15 & 18 November 2024: Whole day
24 & 31 December 2024: 12.00pm onwards

Hi students, sharing an announcement from SUTD. 

WTH is SUTD’s premier Hardware and Software hackathon that’s open to students of various backgrounds. This year, we’re Hacking it up a Notch by offering bigger prizes and bigger perks!

[S4] 2024 GCE O-Level Exam Matters

Dear Sec 4 Students

The GCE O-Level Year-End Written Exam will take place from 11 October to 11 November 2024.

The SEATING PLAN and SEAT NUMBER can be found in the link below:
Main cohort - Click the link in Column K of the tab "SCHEDULE & VENUES" to access the seating plan and seat number for the respective papers.

Students with approved access arrangements will receive an email from the Presiding Examiner, Ms Janet Tan by the end of the day.

The O-Level briefing slides to candidates are also attached for your reference.  

Please read and note the following points before your examination.

THINGS TO NOTE:
1. REPORTING TIME

Extension of School Smart Card (SSC) Concession Validity for Sec 4 Graduating Students in 2024

Dear Sec 4 Students

Your School Smart Card (SSC) will expire on 31 December 2024.

Kindly proceed to any SimplyGo Kiosk, Top-Up Kiosk, Passenger Service Centre (PSC) or Ticketing Service Centre/ Ticket office from 1 October 2024 to 31 December 2024 to extend the SSC concession validity to continue enjoying public transport concession fares on public transportation.  Students whose SSCs are linked to GIRO or Auto Top-up are also required to extend the concession validity of the SSCs.

After extension, your SSC will be valid for use till 30 April 2025 for Sec 4 graduating students in 2024.
