SunburST InnoFest 2017 (for Sec 2's only)

Good Day everyone.

The SunburST InnoFest 2017 is a competition that aims to seed and develop students' interest in the Science, Technology, Engineering, Aesthetics and Mathematics (STEAM) content areas. It would be a cohort-wide event for the Sec 2s and is compulsory for everyone to participate in.

As have already been mentioned by your respective ADMT teachers, each team of 5 would consists of members who would be adopting the various roles of either a (Team) Leader, Maker, Coder, Designer and Marketer.

Members would go for differentiated learning journeys on Tuesday morning (23 May 2017) and full-day training sessions (Wednesday (24 May 2017), before coming together and working as a team on Thursday, full day (25 May 2017). There would be an overnight component on Thursday too.

The competition would culminate in a concurrent presentation of the various strands on Friday morning (26 May 2017), before the grand finals happening at the Auditorium, somewhat similar to the 3M Challenge finale last year. The competition is scheduled to finish by 1130 H, before your end-of-semester class cleanup. The prize presentation would be happening during the end-of-semester school assembly.

For those that are very keen, the organising committee is also looking at between 20 to 40 participating students from the event, that would like to help out with the nationwide SunburST Make-A-Thon 2017 event for upper primary schools, which would be happening the week after, from 31 May to 2nd June 2017. Do inform us should you be keen to facilitate with the running of the event, as it is a major event in SST's calendar!
