You are invited! AOGS Educational Outreach Talks Organised by the Astronomy Club

Asia Oceania Geosciences Society (AOGS) was established in 2003 to promote geosciences and its application for the benefit of humanity, specifically in Asia and Oceania and with an overarching approach to global issues. AOGS is deeply involved in addressing hazard related issues through improving our understanding of the genesis of hazards through scientific, social and technical approaches.

From the 7th to 11th of Aug, SST will be hosting some of their lecturers!

7th Aug 2017, Monday, 3-4pm @ Lecture Theatre:
  • Flora of South East Asia by Dr Shawn Lum
8th Aug 2017, Tuesday, 1-2pm @ Lecture Theatre:
  • Earthquake Waves by Dr Shengji Wei
  • Volcanos and Singapore? by Associate Professor Adam D Switzer
11th Aug 2017, Friday, 2-3pm @ Lecture Theatre:
  • An Overview of NASA Earth Sciences: From Satellites to Computer Models by Dr Steven E. Platnick
