[Invitation to participate] Computational and Algorithmic Thinking Competition

Dear students,

You are invited to take part in CAT 2018.

The Computational and Algorithmic Thinking (CAT) competition is a one-hour problem-solving competition which seeks to identify computer programming potential—something which students might not normally have an opportunity to demonstrate.
No prior experience in computer programming is necessary.

The competition employs a mixture of multiple-choice and integer answers, and incorporates unique ‘three stage tasks’ that encourage students to develop informal algorithms and apply them to test data of increasing size or complexity.

For more details, visithttp://www.amt.edu.au/informatics/cat/.

The cost of the online competition is SGD 11.50.
Competition date is on 27 March (Tuesday) 3 - 4 pm.

Please fill up the form at https://goo.gl/forms/qac00VqaoWTjIviI3 by THURSDAY 22 March, 12 NOON if you are interested.
