[Sec 4] Call for Student-Initiated Service Learning Projects submissions

 Student-Initiated Service Learning Project (Sec 4)


Dear Secondary 4 students,


Amidst the preparation and execution of your respective classes’ service learning projects, this is a gentle reminder for those who are interested in initiating separate self-initiated projects of their own to take note of the instructions and timeline in this document.


Here are some key dates for ease of reference:


  • Before 23 February 2022 - Form a committee of maximum 5 students. Alternatively, you may choose to embark on the project individually.

  • 23 February 2022 - Submit a draft proposal (Stage 1 and Stage 2A of the Student-Initiated Service Learning Project Form) and book a consultation with an ACE teacher-in-charge.

  • 14 March 2022 - Submit the final and completed proposal

  • By 25 March 2022 - Receive result of proposal submitted, i.e. whether the project is approved 

  • By 1 July 2022 - Service of student-initiated project to be completed 


If you would like to initiate projects along with your CCA or Committee, please refer to the instructions and timeline in this document instead.

Pawsome Cats is here! 

 

I am Osaid from S4-07, one of the ACE student leaders in charge of #PawsomeCats2022, a donation and distribution drive for the underprivileged cats in our beloved cat community.

Sec 1 CCA Option Exercise

Dear Students,

This is to inform you that some CCAs are unable to inform you of the results by today. The new deadline for informing students of the outcome of their tryouts is 14 Feb Monday 3 p.m. You can then proceed to submit your CCA Option Form after that. 

The new deadline for submission of the CCA Option Form is 16 Feb Wednesday 5 p.m.

For those that had already submitted thinking that you were rejected because you have not received any news from the CCA, and want to resubmit, please email lam_hin_chew@sst.edu.sg or ng_jun_wei@sst.edu.sg by 15 Feb Tuesday 5 p.m.

SST Sec 4 Service-Learning Projects - Bookject@SST by S4-08

Hi everyone, 

There is an abundance of books, but most of the time, they are thrown away. Therefore, S408's Bookject@sst aims to give these books a second chance and many more to educate underprivileged students in Singapore, and improve their literacy and knowledge. So, join us! Donate your books! And, be a chapter in someone’s life!


There are three book collection locations : Tables outside Info Hub/S408 (Blk A Level 4), Car Park Drop-off point, Outside SST General Office. The dates are from 7 February 2022 to 14 February 2022, during school hours. Lastly, ensure that the books donated are appropriate, readable and undamaged.

Here are the accepted donations :

- Educational Books (Textbooks, etc)
- Fiction/Non-fiction books

Open Audition for Celebrations@SST 2022 Emcees





Dear students,

Do you wish to seize the opportunity to enliven the stage? Do you possess a charismatic stage presence? Do you enjoy hosting events?

If you have answered 'Yes' to the above questions, we would like to invite you to audition and become the next student emcees for Celebrations@SST 2022. The process is really simple:

1. Please record a 30-secs video of you reading the sample script HERE.
2. Make sure that your upper body is clearly shown in the video.
3. Submit the video via the Google Form HERE

It is that simple! Just make sure that you submit your entry by 12 Feb, Saturday, 8.00pm.
