Staff Appreciation Week (SAW) Information and Audition

Dear SST Students,

Staff Appreciation Week (SAW) is an annual tradition helmed by the Peer Support Board.

  • To appreciate the contributions that the staff in SST had done to support the school community

  • For students to bond with the staff in SST and recognise the efforts the staff had contributed by learning more about their backgrounds

  • To encourage the SST community to practise appreciation towards each other which allows us to foster a positive culture in SST

  • The event seeks to foster a positive culture through appreciating the numerous things the SST family (students, partners, teachers and all school staff) do for each other on a daily basis. It is also a platform where SST students rally together as ONE SST to express gratitude and foster school spirit and identity as one SST family.

SAW 2022 Theme - “Celebrating the Stars!”

Swapping of Monday and Tuesday Timetables Next Week (Term 3, Week 5)

Dear Students,

As the School will be hosting a visit by the Minister for Education, Mr Chan Chun Sing on Monday, 25 July 2022, from 8 am to 10 am, we will swap timetables for Monday and Tuesday for next week, i.e. on Monday 25 July, we will run our Tuesday timetable, while on Tuesday 26 July, we will run our Monday timetable. Reporting time for students on Monday, 25 July 2022 will thus be at 7.40 am while reporting time for Tuesday, 26 July 2022 will be at 8.40 am.

This also means that the Sec 3s will have their HBL on 25 July rather than 26 July.  However, the Sec 3 students involved in the hosting of the Minister will still report to school before 7.40 am on 25 July 2022.

Thank you.

SSTree - Contest and a student-initiated service learning project by S3-01

 Dear SST Family,

As part of our Class Service Learning Project, our class, S3-01, initiated SSTree, a project that aims to plant more trees and raise awareness about deforestation.

Deforestation leads to an increase in the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, accelerating climate change. Planting more trees also leads to an increased amount of oxygen in the atmosphere, and thus combating climate change.

As part of the project, we are holding a contest in the form of a quiz. (Open now till 22nd July) Do submit your answers here! There will be attractive prizes to be won!

Do check out @sstactvocates on Instagram to view Instagram Stories regarding deforestation and how you can play your part for the environment.

Should you have any queries, feel free to contact us for more information:,sg,,sg,sg,

We look forward to seeing your answers!

Thank you!

Best Regards,

Lovette Tew
