Dear Secondary 1 to 3 Students
You are invited to participate in the 2025 Singapore NIE Mathematics Challenge for Secondary School Students (NIEMC).
It is open to all Secondary One to Three students. The competition fee is $10.90 and will be collected through Edusave. If you do not have sufficient Edusave funds, the fee will be collected through GIRO.
It will be held on T2W9 Monday, 19 May 2025, 330 PM to 500 PM in school, and your LD is required to conduct the competition.

The deadline for signing up will be 28 March 2025 (Friday) 5.00 p.m.

Dear students,
Amidst the preparation and execution of your class service-learning projects, this is a call for those among you passionate in making a positive difference and keen on initiating separate student self-initiated projects.
To apply, please follow the instructions and timelines in this document for Open Group. You are to make a copy of the proposal document. Please do NOT edit directly.
(Open Group projects are for students across levels, classes in the same service-learning project)
If you would like to initiate projects within your CCA group, please refer to the instructions and timeline in this document instead. You are to make a copy of it. Please do not edit directly.
Here are some key dates for ease of reference:
Before 25 February 2025 - Form a committee of a maximum 5 students. Alternatively, you may embark on the project individually.
By 25 February 2025 - Submit a draft proposal (Stage 1 and Stage 2A of the Student-Initiated Service Learning Project Form) and book a consultation with an ACE teacher-in-charge.
24 March 2025 (2200 hrs) - Submit the final and completed proposal
By 2 April 2025 - Receive the result of the proposal submitted, i.e. whether the project is approved
By 30 June 2025 - Service of the student-initiated project to be completed (for Sec 4 students)
By 1st November 2025 - Service of the student-initiated project to be completed (for Sec 1,2 and 3 students)

Blended Learning: Home-Based Learning (HBL) is designed to equip students with the skills, attitudes, and habits needed for lifelong learning. Please prioritise your responsibilities before engaging in leisure activities.
During Home-Based Learning, it is essential to observe cyber wellness, practice the 4Rs, and always follow the Acceptable Use Policy (AUP). Recording the Google Meet or Microsoft Teams sessions is not allowed.

This year marks the 15th year with MTL Fortnight in SST. A myriad of activities has been planned by the MTL dept with the following objectives in mind:
(1) To create an immersive environment for the learning and appreciation of MTL;
(2) To provide platforms for students to actively learn MTL and the associated culture; and
(3) To provide authentic opportunities for students to use MTL and experience the culture.

Please refer to this spreadsheet for your CCA tryout schedule. All the CCA tryout sessions are held at their respective CCA training venue (unless otherwise stated).
As shared during my briefing last week, you are strongly encouraged to attend at least SIX different CCA tryouts. If you have valid reasons on why you need to rearrange your tryout slots, please contact the CCA Teacher-in-charge and arrange.

Reporting time & other Instructions
Students must be properly attired in FULL SST uniform and grooming (i.e. hair colour, length, appearance) must adhere to the school’s standards.
Students who do not meet the attire and grooming rules will be directed to the Visitor's Center, where they will obtain their results and certificate at that venue at a later timing.
You will be allowed entry into SST from 12.40 p.m. onwards.
Please bring along your NRIC/Passport/Birth Certificate/Student Pass for identification purposes if you are collecting your results on that day.
Please refer to the SST Student Blog or your SST email for more information and details.
Students collecting their GCE O-Level results arriving later than 3.30 p.m. but before 5.00 p.m.
● Students are to collect their result slip and certificate from the General Office.
Students must present their NRIC/Passport/Birth Certificate/Student Pass to the staff member at the General Office for verification.
For students who are unable to collect their GCE O-level result slips on 10 January 2025
Students can also appoint a proxy to collect the physical copy of their result slip and certificate on their behalf.
Proxy may collect the result slip and certificate from the General Office from 10 January, 3.30 p.m. onwards. Proxy is required to present the following documents to the staff member at the General Office before he/she is able to collect the result slip.
■ SST Authorisation Letter duly completed
■ Student’s NRIC/ Passport/ Birth Certificate/ Student Pass
■ Proxy’s original NRIC
Result slip and certificate must be collected from the General Office latest by the next working day on Monday,13 January 2025, 5.00 p.m.
Students are to contact 65717-200 (during office hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.) for assistance if they are unable to appoint a proxy.

Additional Information for Parents
If you are accompanying your child and you are driving, we seek your cooperation to park at the following HDB carparks and enter the school via Gate B (near the zebra crossing) or Gate C (near the bus stop). There will be strictly no parking of cars within the school compound as it is a school day.
Kindly proceed to the Atrium where chairs will be provided for you while waiting for your child.
