November Micron Chip Camp is open exclusively to Girls only!
This camp is sponsored by Micron, a leading company in the semiconductor industry and its operations includes the manufacturing of microchips.
The camp is intended to reach out and provide opportunities to girls to the world of STEM through the semiconductor industry. This is to encourage greater participation of women in STEM-related careers later in their life.
Through fun, gamified team challenges, participants will discover the exciting world of artificial intelligence (AI), humanoid robotics, and microchip manufacturing. They will take part in engaging activities such as card games, Fun with Electronics, TonyBots, UV Lithography, and hands-on experiences showcasing the power of microchips.
What's New at Micron Chip Camp 2026?
This year, we're breaking boundaries (literally!). Instead of one intensive 3-day camp, we've created three standalone workshops that you can mix and match.
Want to try just one? Go for it! Curious about all three? Even better!
Each workshop runs for 3 hours of hands-on excitement, plus, it's completely FREE thanks to our amazing sponsors at Micron!
Workshop Details
Each day consists of two sessions—one in the morning and one in the afternoon—with two workshops conducted during each session.
Workshop 1:
The World of AI: Understanding Machine Learning and Computer Vision
Specially developed for newbies, no computing knowledge required – just a curiosity about the how the AI world came about and how it is shaping everything around us!
Journey through AI's fascinating evolution from ancient dreams to today's revolution! Discover how machines learned to "think" through engaging stories and card games.
Then dive into hands-on online activities and interactions with our very own humanoid robot AMECA to explore computer vision and Gen AI.
Workshop 2:
From Logic Gates to Memory Chips: An Introduction to UV Lithography
Ever wondered how your phone remembers everything? Crack the code of binary language, play with circuits to understand logic gates, and conduct lithography experiments (used to make memory chips) using nail polish and UV lamps.
Yes, you read that right – nail polish! Who knew semiconductor manufacturing could be this cool?
Workshop 3:
Hands-on Robotics: Tinkering with Elecfreaks and TonyBot
Developed for students who are keen to experience programming. You can build, programme, and watch your creations come to life! Start with old-school Lego-brick robots powered by Micro:bit, then level up to the TonyBot – a modern humanoid robot that responds to your voice commands.
It's like having your own personal R2-D2!
