We are pleased to announce the establishment of an SST Capture The Flag (CTF) student interest group.
This interest group aims to equip students with the skills required for cybersecurity CTF competitions, allowing them to excel in said competitions. CTFs are ethical hacking competitions where you act as the “attacker” and abuse vulnerabilities in the challenges you are given to gain access to private information, or in this case, flags.
Participation in the student interest group complements academic learning by providing practical opportunities for students to refine the computing and/or ICT skills they learn in the classroom and apply them in a real-world context.
Short-term goals
• Build a team of dedicated students passionate for CTF competitions
• Compete in local CTF competitions to gain experience and recognition
Long-term goals
• Collaborate with other schools for joint training sessions
• Host our very own inter-school CTF competition
Training session details (2025):
• Every Saturday from T4W4-T4W8
• 9.30am - 12.30pm
• Online
Training session details for 2026 are tentative, but they will mainly be held online on Saturdays.
We welcome you to join! No worries if you haven’t participated in a CTF before, as long as you know how to code. To join, please fill in the form below by Friday, 10 October (T2W4):

Dear students,
As Singapore celebrates her 60th birthday this year, Racial Harmony Day (RHD) is a meaningful opportunity to reflect on how our nation has grown as a multicultural society — one built on mutual respect, understanding, and unity among people of all ethnicities and cultures.
This year’s theme, “Our People, Our Tapestry,” reminds us that each of our cultures is like a unique thread in the rich fabric of Singapore. Together, these threads create a vibrant and resilient tapestry. At times, differences may challenge us, but they also give us the chance to listen, learn, and strengthen the bonds that hold us together through empathy, curiosity, and care.
RHD is not just a celebration. It is a time for us to reflect on how we can express our views respectfully, appreciate diverse perspectives, and contribute to a more inclusive and united community.
To commemorate this important occasion on 21 July, all students are encouraged to come dressed in traditional ethnic attire that reflects the rich cultural heritage of Singapore. This symbolic act reminds us of the beauty and strength found in our diversity.
We also invite you to take a step further, consider swapping traditional ethnic costumes with friends or borrowing one from someone of a different culture. These small yet meaningful gestures are opportunities to build deeper understanding and appreciation for each other’s cultures.
Let us approach this celebration with openness, respect, and curiosity. Please ensure that all attire:
Respects cultural traditions
Is of appropriate length
Avoids offensive or outlandish designs
Includes covered shoes for safety
Let’s use this Racial Harmony Day to show appreciation for one another’s cultures, learn something new, and continue building a more inclusive and united community.
Dear S3 & S4 students,
Please see attached for the slides used for the O Level Oral Examinations briefing yesterday morning at the Auditorium.
