Family Bonding Event by PforSST

Dear Students

Launch of C-Quest - A Mobile app game (by MOE)

"Launch of C-Quest- A Mobile app game to promote conversations about cyber wellness between parents and children"

Parents can now download a new mobile game app, C-Quest, and have conversations on cyber wellness with their children. Developed by the Ministry of Education and targeted at parents with children aged 10 to 14, C-Quest is specially designed to facilitate meaningful parent-child conversations on their online experiences. Through the game, students will learn to be safe, respectful, and responsible users of Information and Communication Technology (ICT).

MOE Independent School Bursary (ISB) Applications 2015

Dear Students

Applications for the MOE Independent School Bursary (ISB) are now open for eligible students who are Singapore Citizens.

Current ISB awards will expire on 31 December 2014. Current recipients are required to submit a fresh application for 2015 if they wish to continue receiving the MOE ISB.

Interested applicants may obtain the application form by either downloading the form HERE or collect a hardcopy from SST General Office.

Completed applications are to be submitted directly to SST General Office for processing. Applicants are strongly encouraged to ensure the proper submission of applications with all required supporting documents; incomplete forms will NOT be processed.

The application deadline for awards to commence from January 2015 is 30 November 2014.

Applicants who qualify for the 100% ISB are strongly encouraged to submit their applications as early as possible to facilitate processing and approval.

Students may also apply for the MOE ISB at any time throughout the academic year should the need arise. The subsidy will commence in the next applicable month post-approval. And in accordance with MOE guidelines, there will be NO backdating of award regardless of application outcome).

IP Survey (16-18 Sep)

Dear students,

Hope you had a good break over the Sept holidays.

Pls bring your LDs and report to your respective classrooms for morning assembly tomorrow. You will be completing the IP Survey after flag raising for the next three mornings (16 to 18 Sept).

More instructions on the IP Survey and allocation of subjects will be emailed to you and also posted on your level's GoogleSite by tomorrow morning.

Selfie Competition (in conjunction with Malay Language Month)

In conjunction with the Malay Language Month, Kim Seng MAEC is organising a selfie competition via their Facebook page.  

The objectives of this competition are:

1. To encourage the use of technology (smart phones) to capture moments that depicts Malay Culture like Hari Raya, Traditional Food among the students.
2. To encourage the students to use Malay Language in creating their original caption (pantun or inspirational quotes) for the selfie.

Currently, our Rakan Bahasa (Language Champion) Muhammad NurShaquille & Puteri Nur Huda have submitted their entries.

Staff Appreciation Day 2014

Dear Students,

Staff Appreciation Day will be on this Thursday , the 4th of September. We will be following the SST tradition of celebrating this day with your teachers in your classrooms from 0800 am till 0920 am before ending with a concert from 1000 am till 1100 am.

Please note that classroom cleaning time will be from 0920 am till 0940 am after which all students will proceed to the MPH for the celebrations. Any foodstuff should be promptly cleared and removed once the class celebrations ends. 

Secondary 4 students will return to their respective classes for the verification of marks for the Preliminary Exams once the concert ends.
