[You are Invited] Photo Montage Competition - International Friendship Day 2016

Dear SST Students

8 April 2016 marks International Friendship Day which is dedicated to the understanding of Singapore’s relations with her neighbouring countries within ASEAN and beyond.

To commemorate this day, let’s put our thoughts on a montage on how friendship plays an important role in fostering good relationship. We have friends from diverse background and they deserve recognition on International Friendship Day. Whether your closest confidant is your best friend forever (BFF), our loved ones, helpers, friends and/or teachers, let's take some time to let them know how much we appreciate them through our daily activities in this short montage of two to three minutes.

Theme: Friendship plays an important role in fostering good relationship

Team: A group of 4-5 students from any level

Product: Photo Montage of 2 to 3 minutes

At the end of the email, include the acknowledgement, "The team has read and understood the guidelines and the rubric."

HBL - in Timetable

Blended Learning in MOE’s context refers to a seamless blending of different modes of learning to enhance students’ educational experience. One aspect of Blended Learning is the integration of home-based learning (HBL) as a regular feature of the schooling experience.

HBL takes place once a fortnight when students do not report to school for lessons, but carry out self-directed learning or activities assigned to be completed remotely.

Instructions and tasks will be assigned by the subject teacher in the Google Classroom (though the tasks may not be confined to the Google Classroom).

HBL - not in Timetable

In the event that HBL is declared for a school day (i.e. not in timetable or pre-planned):
1. Subject lessons will follow current timetable.
2. Lessons will take place via the existing GMeet/ Online platforms set up in the subject Google Classrooms.
3. Login and report to the Form Teacher at the usual morning assembly time for attendance taking and morning briefing. REMEMBER:
Check the Students Blog and your official email regularly (8 am and 5pm) for any updates communicated to you in the day.
